RWL nominated for award but says “no thanks”

Rescued With Love has been nominated for an award which is always an honor.  This time it is for The Dogs Life Pet People’s Award for Best Local Pet Rescue Service/Animal Shelter.

While Rescued With Love is happy with the recognition we are receiving, the Award is with Dogs Life Magazine in conjunction with the Pet Industry Association of Australia (PIAA).

The PIAA represents Petshops throughout Australia and  they have been extremely vocal in their stance of protecting  the practice of selling puppies in petshops (they were the main opposition to Clover Moore’s Bill to cease the sale of animals in Petshops last year).

These puppies are of course provided by puppy millers who keeps scores of dogs in cages to breed for their babies.  Rescued With Love is against all forms of puppy milling, backyard or indiscriminate breeding while hundreds of thousands of dogs die every year in our pounds and shelters.

It would be hypocritical to accept this nomination on ethical grounds from the PIAA, and so we will not be taking up the offer.

While we are not the biggest nor the most financial animal welfare group we certainly will stand up for what we believe Rescue should be about and that is the plight of companion animals at every level in society.

Beverley Manners is a Liar

This is what Beverley publicly stated on her own web site July 6th 2009.

We recently heard the tragic news that the previous target of Ms Tranter, Colin Ham of ACA Dog Breeders tragically took his own life two months ago following a series of heart attacks allegedly brought on by Ms Tranter’s merciless hounding of him and his family. We extend our condolences to Colin’s family at this tragic needless loss of human life. Isaiah 14:24   ” The LORD Almighty has sworn, Surely as I have planned so it will be, and as I have purposed, so it will stand.”

And Beverley didn’t stop at her own website she posted numerous comments on other people’s websites and forums such as the one below.

TWO MONTHS AGO DEBRA TRANTER’S CAMPAIGN AGAINST COLIN HAM RESULTED IN MR HAM COMMITTING SUICIDE. HE SUFFERED SEVERAL FURTHER HEART ATTACKS BROUGHT ON BY STRESS CAUSED BY THIS MILITANT SO CALLED ANIMAL LIBERATIONIST.

I HOPE AND PRAY THAT DEBRA TRANTER CONTINUES HER ASSAULTS ON MYSELF, AND THAT IT GETS TO COURT. THERE WILL BE NO ESCAPE FOR HER THIS TIME, SHE HAS PICKED ON THE WRONG PLACE AND THE WRONG PERSON! WHEN EVERYTHING HERE IS FOUND TO BE AS IT OUGHT TO BE SHE WILL BE FOUND TO HAVE HAD NO CAUSE FOR HER MILITANT BEHAVIOR.

We have found in the past that puppy farmers will go to extraordinary lengths to prevent the truth getting out. Once they know the evidence we have, puppy farmers go into defence mode, they will attempt to bully, harass, lie, intimidate, abuse and discredit us and anyone else with the courage to speak out, as they are scared of the truth becoming public.

These comments are simply not true and are an attempt to discredit me.

Colin Hams is alive.

How do I know? I rang him and spoke to him!

Now that she is a proven liar can we believe anything Beverley has to say?

There is a very good reason why Beverley wants us all to think that Colin Hams of ACA puppy farm is dead. Remember they kill dogs on this puppy farm when they are finished with them.
