Just the way it is…

She mends their broken bodies and heals their tortured minds. She gives them hope and finds them loving homes. She gives them life. She rescues dogs. She always has. Today I stood by my friend as she was photographed, fingerprinted and charged with theft, because she rescues dogs. This is just the way it is…..

I rescued a dog. I rescued him from a puppy factory because he was neglected and in pain and the owners did nothing. I tried to save his life. The dog was ripped from arms and returned to the factory, I was told “you will never see this dog again”. I was fingerprinted, photographed, charged with theft, was labelled a criminal and was fined $1500. That is just the way it is…..

Pets Paradise lie to their customers and boast “we do not support puppy farms”. But they purchase their stock from puppy farms and backyard breeders. They lie and they continue to lie and thats just the way it is…..

If puppy farmers want to walk their old breeding dogs out the back of their factory farm and shoot them they can. As long as they shoot them ‘humanely’ thats just the way it is……..isn’t it Charlie.

Victorian Police Officer Glen Pattern of Heyfield Police operates an illegal puppy factory and has done so for a long time. Glen is not registered as a Domestic Animal Business, none of his dogs are registered with Latrobe Council, he does not comply with the mandatory code of practice. Glen Pattern can continue to factory farm dogs illegally for now as Latrobe Council have decided to “work with the owner to ensure compliance”. It is an offence to conduct a domestic animal business on unregistered premises, but when the local Council officer is asked to inspect the local coppers illegal puppy factory, well I guess thats just the way it is…..

It seems there is a law for some and not others. Those that ‘take the dog out of the cage’ are deemed criminals, but those that ‘put the dog in the cage’ are protected. Some of those who are paid to uphold the law, apparently can break the law and those that are asked to enforce the law, apparently don’t have to if they don’t want to.

What about the dogs…..who is there to protect them? Are we going to accept all of this injustice because thats just the way it is?

Write to Latrobe Council, ask them to prosecute Victorian Police Officer Glen Pattern for operating an illegal puppy factory

Report Glen Pattern to the Office of Police Integrity. The Victorian Police force do a great job, ones like Glen Pattern however need to be reported and held accountable.

For those of you that continue to speak out, to educate and empower others, to push the envelope that little bit further, to expose the injustices, the cruelty and the betrayal of ‘mans best friend’ and be their voice, I know you wont give up, I know you will get louder and stronger,  because thats just the way you all are……

Oscar’s Law will be a reality, and that’s just the way its going to be…………

Deal with it!

The RSPCA will argue that their campaign is aimed at cruel puppy factories, and they do not necessarily have a problem with PIAA pet retailers. But when the RSPCA endorses posters with headlines stating “puppy factories are the suppliers of the cute puppy that you see in the pet shop window” it is hard not to believe elements in the RSPCA are joining the radicals who want to shut down our industry. Roger Perkins CEO Pet Industry Association of Australia

Roger, the Pet Industry doesn’t have any power, you are insignificant. The pet industries grubby little secret has been exposed. The public are learning what really goes on behind the pet shop window and they are appalled.

We are not ‘radicals’, we are every day people who love our pets and we wont be told by the Pet Industry of Australia how our pets are to be kept, bred or sold.

Face it Roger, your fighting a losing battle, its the beginning of the end. The public don’t want their pets factory farmed on your putrid puppy factories. The public no longer want animals sold from shops.

The power is now in our hands Roger, the public, the consumers. Deal with it!
